Direttissima Dachstein South Wall
Direttissima Dachstein South Wall | In 1967 the Direttissima at the High Dachstein was technically first climbed. The enormously overhanging terrain culminates in a 40m overhang. We got the permission of the first climbers to change the old hooks and wooden wedges on drill hooks to be able to start free climbing attempts. Idea: Heli Putz, Production ServusTV, Producer: Planet Watch, Director: Tom Dauer, Camera: Günter Göberl, Climber: Heli Putz / Peter Schwamberger
Our long-term project: A free inspection of the “Direttissima in der Dachstein Südwand”. This project is a huge challenge not only in terms of the material, but also in terms of the “working days”. In addition, a film team will be present – let’s see if the project can be realized before the snowfall this year. 800m of rope and hundreds of carabiners are in the wall.
